HYDRO DOTS

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-08-12

Hydro Dots ("the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what the app does with your information.

1. There is no server

The app requires no account, and the developer operates no server. Your drink records, goals and settings are stored on your device only. The developer cannot read or retrieve them.

2. What is stored on your device

Deleting the app removes all of it from your device.

3. Health (HealthKit)

Only with your permission, and only for the purposes below. The app works if you decline.

Health data stays under Apple's control; the app never sends it off the device. You can revoke access at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Health.

4. Location and weather

If automatic goal adjustment is on, your location is used to look up temperature, humidity and UV index through Apple's WeatherKit. It is used for that request only; it is never sent to the developer and never stored off the device. If you do not use automatic adjustment, no location permission is needed.

5. Notifications

Reminders are local notifications composed and delivered entirely on your device. No push server is involved.

6. Game Center

Achievements use Apple's Game Center. If you take part, your achievement progress is sent to Apple's servers and handled under Apple's privacy policy. The app works without signing in to Game Center.

7. Advertising

The app shows banner ads on the History and Recap screens, served by Google AdMob. To deliver them, the following may be sent to Google LLC:

You choose whether to allow tracking in the prompt shown on first use, and can change it later under Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Declining does not remove ads — it only makes them less relevant. See Google's policy for details.

Buying Pro stops the banner, and with it the sending of the information above for advertising.

8. Usage measurement

To find problems and improve the app, usage is measured anonymously with Google's Firebase Analytics. What is sent is aggregate-level activity — which screens are opened, which features are used. Your records themselves — amounts, body weight, goals — are never sent. The developer sees only figures that cannot identify a person.

9. In-app purchases

Apple handles every purchase. The developer never receives your name, card details or Apple ID. The app records only whether you hold Pro, and it keeps that on your device. That record sits in a shared area so the widget can read it too; it never leaves the device.

10. Children

Because the app collects no personal information, it makes no distinction by age. Goal figures are guidance only and are not medical advice.

11. Changes to this policy

Any change will be published here with a new "last updated" date. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
